Was doing practice for this and was doing 90 secs of burpees at this standard. FYI 31 in the first minute is way too fast!!!! Only got 4 in the next 30 sec ha ha.
That makes me feel better- A few weeks ago when we did a quick 40 for time I did 30 in like 49 seconds or so and then the next 10 took 32 seconds! …and that was all-out knowing that I would be done at 40.
I think I’m going to start out with 10 per minute and then if I feel like I have gas in the tank after 4 minutes bring it up, then all-out for last minute.
I’d be ecstatic if I could get 120-130. Burpees have always been a strong suit for me, but at the same time I haven’t been great at pacing them. Going to keep checking scores and video submissions to figure out a good pace.
Everyone please remember to submit your score to your profile on the CrossFit Games website. Even if you are going to re-try you can submit multiple times and the best will count.
I have to approve them for the team but I cannot submit times- each athlete must submit their own scores.
Thanks!
What ever you do, don’t go balls out first, I started at about 80% for the first minute and got about 25, about another 25 in the next 2 and half minutes, on mark for 100, right? WRONG!!! I barely got to 85, finish on the ground with nice charlie horse pain, hahaha!

Also, Robyn I heard you got 85 burpees this morning. Katie Hogan, a games athlete last year, got 91. Great job!

31 in a minute! Holy cow. I’d like to see that. So what’s a reasonable rate per minute over 7 minutes for you? What’s your goal?

I think I did 20ish first minute…
I broke it down to 10s and
I want to say 55 at 4 or 5 minute mark but I don’t remember lol.
I have a new plan of attack if I feel good for Saturday.
